Baklava,  Featured

Yes, size DOES matter!

I know Emerson would have definitely modified his famous quote once he tasted my baby baklava bites! After doing some market research, small, NOT bigger, is better when it comes to baklava. Turkish Baklava is generally small than Greek baklava in height, shape, and width.

It is about a 2 inch square. Baklava becomes an investment when it is on the menu. It’s expensive for one piece, what if don’t  like it? How can I finish such a big piece? Oh my god, what if I DO finish that whole piece-how many sit-ups do I need to do to counteract all the fat and calories?

Who knew purchasing a sweet could create such mental banter?! Well, I heard it all and made my baklava bite sized! Being only about 1 inch square, the price point is kept low (avg $1/each). You definitely can finish it and possibly indulge in 1 more without feeling guilty. It also is lower in fat and calories because I use half the butter than other baklava bakers.

So, relax, stop the mental banter, and  indulge in 1, maybe 2 pieces of baklava. Leaving the important question to be: Now, which flavor(s) do I want?
