At Bohemian Baklava, we believe dessert should tell a story—layered, soulful, and unforgettable. Our small-batch baklava is hand-crafted with reverence for tradition and a flair for the unexpected, blending old-world Turkish recipes with bold new twists.
Founded by Elif Ekin, a first-generation Turkish-American and passionate baker, Bohemian Baklava is rooted in heritage and resilience. What began as a creative outlet during a time of deep transformation quickly became a beloved local favorite, known for its flaky perfection, imaginative flavors, and undeniable heart. Bohemian Baklava started in 2004 at the DownTown Farmers Market and has evolved to be one of the best baklava in the valley.
We source quality ingredients, from organic nuts and spices from Turkey, and infuse every tray with joy, memory, and a bit of rebellion. Whether you’re drawn to the classic pistachio or our punk’d-out flavors like S’Mores or Mango Cashew, there’s a bite for every soul.

Our baklava is a favorite in Martha Stewart’s Kitchen and was published in Everyday Food, in November 2008. Devour Magazine named it a Holiday Highlight in their December 2019 issue. In 1995, it was considered “Best of RI” by Rhode Island Monthly. Our baklava is currently served every day out of Kahve Cafe in Downtown Salt Lake City. You can pop in to have just a couple or place an order for pickup any time Tuesday-Sunday! We always have 6-8 different flavors in the case at a time! Our baklava is made fresh in our kitchen. Always fresh, never frozen & defrosted!

We LOVE special orders or creating customized flavors for you or your event! Our baklava is bite sized, so you can’t just stop at 1! We just need at least 48 hrs notice to take your order so that we make sure we have all the supplies we need.
