Cherry Cordial Almond Baklava

Remember when you were a kid and someone brought over a box of chocolate covered cherry coridals as a hostess gift for you mom and when no one was looking, you popped a chocolate one after the other, enjoying the burst of flavor every time you bit down into a cherry?
This baklava reminds me of that experience but with some almonds thrown in for fun!
Turkish sour cherries are drained from their cherry syrup and layered with a nut mixture of almonds and dark chocolate.
Then, the leftover cherry syrup is blended with regular syrup and poured all over the finished baklava.
Hows’ that for a cherry cordial? Can you stop at just one or will you be popping these babies in your mouth like the candy ones from when you were a kid?
